Foreign countries struggle to replenish their military with trained and expendable able bodied men and women to fight to the death for the glory of their governments. In the United States, the penal population has increased in size and power. Wardens are little more than straw bosses taking their orders from gang leaders and jail house lawyers. The correctional guards fear for their lives. The cost to run these half-way homes puts a tremendous strain on the economy, severely limiting social entitlements, and the amount of pork politicians can bring home. .But in a demonstration of bi-partisanship comes a proposal, a modest proposal no doubt, but it offers a possible solution to their quandary.DEATHSVILLE: To the law-abiding citizenry of the United States, it is a place where justice and retribution is meted out to the worst convicts.DEATHSVILLE: To the politicians it represents bi-partisanship at its best, freeing up revenue to fund social programs, entitlements, and pruning the clogged correctional institutions.DEATHSVILLE: For the scores of foreign countries bidding on the survivors, it gives them hardened, trained killers to fight and die saving their own citizens.DEATHSVILLE: For the convicts--A one way ticket to hell. They are re-located from cozy jail cells and transported like cattle where they will boil under the hot Arizona sun while fighting and killing in organized battles under the watchful eyes of US Military Personnel and the foreign emissaries who will bid on the survivors. .But not everyone in Deathsville is a hardened criminal. Many are local troublemakers, victims themselves of a lucrative black market. Regardless of how they got there they find themselves in the same rail cars and tractor-trailers with the worst of the worst. One such person is Rudolph.
